FEBRUARY 2023
So - you don't have a calendar for 2023. What to do? There is a "green" fix, at least for a few of you! If, by any chance you saved your 2017 COPPER CANYON Calendar, you can reuse it! February 1 is on a Wednesday, so it will work in 2023. Imagine that! BTW it will work for the rest of the year, as it wasn't a leap year, nor is 2023.
This calendar, from 2012, will work for 28 days only! February 1 is on a Wednesday, but as 2012 was a leap year, it won't work for March forward! (Who has a 2012 Calendar anyway, except me, of course!)
2023
As promised, this month's images are not in exactly the same category as previous months. Although they still feature the natural world.
My living/dining room, or the "great room" as we call it, has large paned glass doors and windows which look out into the garden. There have always been a small number of mourning doves that live here. I've always been surprised that they survive, as they wander around on the ground, and seem particularly vulnerable. Well, in 2008 we had a rather confused dove. His/her image was left on my doors and windows on several occasions, as you will see below. Thankfully, s/he survived to "hit" again, as I never found a corpse on the ground!
GHOST BIRDS
I love the stories that accompany the images. And the Copper Canyon railroad bridge has always been one of my favs.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy all the dove ones though the poor guy/gal was probably seeing him/her self in the reflection! But left a gorgeous legacy-great photos!
ReplyDeleteLove the doves - that's amazing you captured them. Poor things but glad they didn't knock out permanently. And I must say it's a comment on how CLEAN your window is. hah
